In worry, God will care:
Jesus said: I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear... Your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek ye first the Kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore, do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. (Matthew 6:25, 32-34)
Cast your cares on the Lord and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall. (Psalm 55:22)
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. (Philippians 4:6)
In loneliness, God will be near:
You, Lord, have never forsaken those who seek you. (Psalm 9:10)
I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, "Do not fear; I will help you". (Isaiah 41:13)
My eyes are ever on the Lord, for only He will release my feet from the snare. Turn to me and be gracious to me, for I am lonely and afflicted. (Psalm 25:15,16)
Though my father and mother forsake me, the Lord will receive me. (Psalm 27:10)
God has said:"Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." (Hebrews 13:5)
In failure, God will help:
Though I have fallen, I will rise. Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light. (Micah 7:8)
The Lord is faithful to all His promises and loving towards all He has made. The Lord upholds all those who fall and lifts up all who are bowed down. (Psalm 145:13,14)
The Lord is close to the broken-hearted ans saves those who are crushed in spirit. (Psalm 34:18)
The God of all grace... will Himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. (1 Peter 5:10)
In discouragement, God will strengthen:
From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I. (Psalm 61:2)
The Lord said: Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be terrified; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. (Joshua 1:9)
Be still, and know that I am God. (Psalm 46:10)
May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in Him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. (Romans 15:13)
In danger, God will protect:
I will say of the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust. (Psalm 91:2)
The Lord will keep you from all harm - He will watch over your life; the Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and for evermore. (Psalm 121:7-8)
Jesus said: Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid... I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world. (John 14:27; 16:33)
In distress, God will comfort:
The Lord says: As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you. (Isaiah 66:13)
Answer me when I call to you, O my righteous God. Give me relief from my distress; be merciful to me and hear my prayer. (Psalm 4:1)
The Lord is good, a refuge in times of trouble. He cares for those who trust Him. (Nahum 1:7)
Jesus said: I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life. (John 8:12)
O God... when I am afraid, I will trust in you. (Psalm 56:1,3)
Through death, God will give life:
Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. (Psalm 23:4)
Jesus said: I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die. Do you believe this? (John 11:25-26)
God is my salvation; I will trust and not be afraid. (Isaiah 12:2)
