I will be going for the CLCN trip to Malaysia tomorrow. Hopefully, I will be able to witness more than I expected (not like I'm expecting much, in fact, I don't really know what to expect). I didn't want to attend in the first place because and only BECAUSE, none of my blondies wanna go. And you know how we girls (or even some guys) function: She don't go I don't go. He don't go I don't go. It's some sorta habit that was formed sometime... dunno when. Especially when there's a class gathering. People will call me and ask "do you know who is going?".

As I was in the shower asking God whether I should attend, suddenly something (more like phrase) came to my mind: Go! and make disciples of the nations.

Then, I GO! lor.

A mother told her young son to go to bed and be sure to say his prayers and ask God to make him a good boy. The boy's father, passing by the bedroom, overheard his son praying: " And make me a good boy if You can; and if You can't, don't worry about it, 'cause I'm having fun the way I am."

Does this sound familiar? How many times do we think this? I do not think that anyone would admit it, but we all know that sin is fun. Why is it fun? It should not be, but it is, because it is easy and it gives instant gratification. That is not what God calls us to do though. It has been said that the things that mean the most, that are most important and meaningful, are the things that we have to work for.

That is the way the Christian life is. First of all we have to work to be obedient. It is a constant battle to do what is right, but the end result is much better than the instant gratification that we get the other way. I heard a sermon one time about choices. We all have choices, but what we have to live with is the consequences. What I do today will never change, but the consequence of that choice is something that I will have to live with. My challenge to you is to think about what you do and make sure that it is God's will that you do it. Does this situation look like it will be in God's plan? Will it glorify him? That is a question that we should always be asking.

John 8:34,36 - Jesus replied, "I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.

The words of an engraving from the cathedral of Lubeck, Germany, beautifully reflect our Lord's teaching here:

"Thus speaketh Christ our Lord to us, You call Me master and obey Me not, you call Me light and see Me not, you call Me the way and walk Me not, you call Me life and live Me not, you call Me wise and follow Me not, you call Me fair and love Me not, you call Me rich and ask Me not, you call Me eternal and seek Me not, if I condemn thee, blame Me not."

Had an eye checkup today.

Praise the Lord! The doc said I have perfect vision (6/6).
Praise the Lord! He gave us a cab to reach Mount Alvernia on time for my checkup.
Praise the Lord! He showed His graciousness ever so amazingly to me when I passed SM paper.
Praise the Lord! Coco's skin irritation is due to the renovation works done near my unit and not due to her diet.
Praise the Lord! For He gave me a chance to meet up with 2 really great buddies - Winnie and Stellina!
Praise the Lord! For He revealed Himself to a wonderful brother yesterday during Tuesday Prayer Meeting.
Praise the Lord! For He gave me Amy to coach me with my keyboard.
Praise the Lord!

It all started so innocently. We met as strangers, thrown together by fate. Some of you grew up with me, others I have only known a short while. Some of you I have hugged constantly over the years, and others I met at a time when hugging was 'un-cool', and it has stayed that way, though the times have changed around us.

Some of you I have not yet met in person. Every one of you has enriched my life. You have helped to teach me, to guide me on this often turning and forking road of life. You have been with me through the good times and the bad. You have comforted me when I cried, held me when I was afraid, and laughed with me when I was happy.

And now we are in college. And though the distance between us is not great, it is great enough. I am no longer afraid to reach out and hug you, in fact I long to do it.

You had walked with me for so long that I was afraid to venture on alone. Yet even as I feared the dark of night, along came others to help me on my journey, in hopes that I would walk with them so they need not journey on alone. They picked up where you left off, and now they are no longer strangers.

Who are you? You might be my brother, my sister, my cousin, an old acquaintance or a new one. But first and foremost, I call you friend. And I miss you if you are away, and if you are here, then I thank you for standing by my side.

And so I write you this, so that you might know that someone, somewhere, is thinking of you, praying for you, and loving you. And that person is me. May God grant you peace and happiness in your times of trial, and watch over you, so that one day we will meet again.
